Additional interior features include original wood casements, five original fireplace mantels , large plank floors and large windows.The grounds are 1.5 acres and do have a lovely view of the Niagara Gorge and Canada beyond The wonderful grey stone East Terrace is 4000 sq feet and surrounded by a 90 year old wisteria and 150 year old oak trees and lawn. The house has 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, two formal gathering rooms (East Room and West Room) as well as dining room which holds 15 for seated dining and gourmet kitchen, The rooms are large and spacious with large windows filling the rooms with natural light.

The War of 1812 began with an invasion of Canada launched by General Winfield Scott from the Hill.
