Our stone house was built in the 1800s by a writer who spent time in a Hunting Lodge in Montana. He then came to Mohegan Lake and replicated the Lodge inch by inch. All details in the Great Room are original -- from the stones, to the beams (made from real trees!), to the barn door, to the wagon wheel chandeliers, to the diamond shaped windows. It sits on 1/2 acre, including a (non-working) well. The house is very unique. There is a Great Room with Cathedral ceilings, plus 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, a renovated country kitchen, and a big outdoor patio. We're also half a block to Mohegan Lake, a 1.5 mile long lake with swimming beaches, a bonfire pit and a dock for boats. There is a view of the Lake from the bedroom. Less than 1 hour from Manhattan! We make your production easy with a tent for commissary, access to free wifi, a printer, a dressing room, a full kitchen, and two bathrooms.
No smoking indoors; must clean up afterwards (including any melted wax from candle use); must get prior approval for animals on set; no loud noise after 10pm on weekdays; 11pm on weekends.
